Chris Broussard Says Jimmy Butler Would Be a Terrible Fit on the Rockets

Chris Broussard thinks the Rockets should steer clear of Jimmy Butler
Chris Broussard: “I’m sorry, but I think this is ridiculous. Jimmy Butler is a very good player and I thought he was great for Philadelphia last year but I don’t see the fit with James Harden and Chris Paul. Harden is going to play like he usually has, and Paul already feel like he’s not getting enough looks. Butler is not a spot-up three-point shooter… How in the world is this going to work?? It’s not a fit basketball wise and it’s not a fit locker room wise.”

Listen to NBA insider and co-host of The Odd Couple Chris Brossard join The Doug Gottlieb Show to explain why it’s an awful idea for the Houston Rockets to acquire free agent Jimmy Butler.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been hinting at an attempt for a sign-and-trade for the former All-Star small forward who has emerged as one of the top 20 players in the league, but Chris doesn’t understand why the Rockets would go out of their way to get a ball-centric volume shooter who has had an extremely poor history in locker rooms.

When mentioning volume shooting and volatile locker rooms, Chris can’t think of a more glaring example than the Rockets themselves, who are still trying to bail themselves out of reports of how bad things have gotten between their stars Harden and CP3.

Check out the audio below as Chris says it would be a complete nightmare if a hot-head like Butler is flung into a locker with two other unpredictable personalities who want the ball in their hands.
