Jonas Knox: âApparently the Houston Texans have got a problem on their hands⌠Tony Buzbee, who represents the women filing the lawsuits against Deshaun Watson, announced on Monday that a lawsuit has been filed against the Houston Texans saying among other things that they enabled Deshaun Watson, and either âknewâ or should have known about his behavior, and there could be at least six more lawsuits that are coming against Deshaun Watson. This is just hours before his disciplinary hearing with the NFL. Tony Buzbee continues to have perfect timing when it comes to making these moves. Do you think itâs more likely heâs suspended for one season or indefinitely?â
LaVar Arrington: âItâs got to be indefinitely.â
Jonas: âThatâs how far this has come in the past couple of months since they traded for him. I think he would be lucky as this point to get a one-year suspension. Theyâd be fortunate getting a one-year suspension if Iâm in Deshaun Watsonâs camp.â
Brady Quinn: âFrom a legal standpoint you would say heâs in a better situation than he was a year ago. Heâs settled with 20 of the alleged victims and there are still 4-6-10 more out there? We donât know. Youâd say heâs in a âbetterâ situation, you could say he settled with half but itâs still not 20. But because weâre not sure at how many more there could be, and thereâs always a chance that they could try another criminal charge in one of these. He literally could be out of football for 2+ years. It is one of the craziest things weâve ever seen. I look around and shake my head â how could this thing have seemed as attractive to the Browns to wanna jump into this year? How could they have done their due diligence and not known there could have been more alleged victims who could bring forth lawsuits?â (Full Segment Above)
