Drake Is Letting The Sacramento Kings Borrow His $185 Million Jet

Drake may be a hard-core Toronto Raptors' fan, but that doesn't mean he's not down to help another NBA team with their travel needs.

Over the weekend, TMZ reported that the "Omertà" rapper is lending his massive jet, dubbed "Air Drake," to the Sacramento Kings.

According to the outlet, the basketball team enlisted Drake's aircraft to take players and members of the coaching staff to India. The Kings owner, Vivek Ranadive reportedly "got in touch with Drake's camp" just days ago to make the last-minute flight arrangements for the King's first preseason games of the year against the Pacers in Mumbai Friday (October 4) and Saturday (October 5).

While Drake's massive private, custom-designed jet features a ton of bells and whistles, as seen in his tour of the aircraft earlier this year, one thing it doesn't have is wifi, which the Kings' Buddy Hield spoke about in a recent press conference. "I heard there's gonna be no WiFi, so I don't know," the shooting guard said of his plans for the 20-hour flight. "I'll have to download a bunch of movies, maybe watch Game of Thrones again, or just find something I gotta binge-watch. That's a good time to connect with your teammates, too."

As fans know, Drake announced that he was the proud owner of the Boeing 767 back in May. "Nothing was the same for real...ūü§Įūü¶Č," he captioned a one minute and 32-second clip that featured him touring (and showing off) his jet, which is reportedly worth around $200 million. "No rental, no timeshare, no co-owners," he said in the clip.

While Drake is technically the owner of the aircraft, the "Money In The Grave" rapper got the jet for a whopping Free.99 because the Canada-based airline that designed it, Cargojet, "believes it'll more than pay for itself in publicity as a high-profile traveling billboard with one of the biggest rappers in the world," TMZ reported earlier this year.
