Cropper named MW Player of the Week

Jalen Cropper earns his second career MW Offensive Player of the Week honor.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - For the second straight week, Fresno State has had a player named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. Junior wide receiver Jalen Cropper earns this week's honor after an explosive performance in Fresno State's 38-30 conference opening win over UNLV last Friday.

Cropper finished the game with 10 receptions for 108 yards and four touchdowns.

Cropper's four receiving touchdowns ties the single game program record. He joins Davante Adams, Jim Molich and Charlie Jones as the only 'Dogs to do so. He also tied the Mountain West record for most receiving touchdowns in a game.

Cropper became the third Bulldog to have multiple three-plus touchdown games in a career, joining Davante Adams and KeeSean Johnson.

Nationally, Cropper's four receiving touchdowns ties the FBS best for most scored in a game this season. His 24 points scored are the second-most in a single game by any player in the FBS this season, and the most in the MW.

Cropper has scored a touchdown in six-straight games, the first time a Bulldog receiver has had a touchdown in at least six consecutive games since Davante Adams. Adams holds the record with nine-straight games with a receiving touchdown.

Monday's announcement is Cropper's second career weekly honor from the conference, his first since earning the recognition after his performance at Utah State in 2020.
