FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State equestrian team picked up its second win of the weekend, defeating No. 8 Baylor 13-4 at the Student Horse Center on Saturday. The Bulldogs open their spring season with two-straight wins and secure their first Big 12 win of the season.

Fresno State swept the Most Outstanding Performer honors on Saturday. Junior Sara Tuck had peak performances again today, earning both jumping seat MOPs for the second time this weekend. Senior Hannah Buijs earned the horsemanship MOP honor and junior Sarah Semrau was the reining MOP in the meet.

How it Happened

The Bears won the flat, 3-2. Tuck, again, scored an 88 in her MOP ride to outscore her opponent by three. Bertozzi remained undefeated on the weekend with a 84-80 win in the flat.

Notable

It is the first time under head coach Eric Hubbard that the un-ranked Bulldogs have defeated a Top 10 opponent.

Fresno State swept its opponent in the fences for the first time since Feb. 7, 2020 versus UT Martin.

Six Bulldogs set career-high marks on Saturday - Ella Storch, Brogan Hill, Sarah Semrau, Elle Martin, Sara Tuck (Fence), and Jillian Spencer.

Semrau tied the program's reining record with a 79. She sits atop the program's best with current teammate Shelby Robinette.

Tuck's 88 in the fences is the highest fences score by any Bulldog this season.

Semrau earned her first career MOP.

Buijs picked up her seventh career horsemanship MOP, tying for the third-most by any horsemanship rider in program history.
