FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's golf team sits in second place at the Fresno State Classic after carding a 5-over 285 on day one at Copper River Country Club.
The second round of the day was suspended due to darkness and will continue tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. PT.
The Bulldogs sit behind Colorado State at 1-under. Cal Poly is in third at 7-under, while Sacramento State, Washington and Rutgers are all tied in fourth at 13-over.
Freshmen Sophia Chen and Vunnisa Vu finished below par in the first round. Chen scored a 2-under 70. Vu shot a 1-under 71.
Vu is the low 'Dog on the day, currently tied for fifth in the field at 1-under with one hole to finish in the second round. Katelyn Lehigh and Amelia Garibaldi are right behind her at 1-over.
