SPOKANE, Wash. - Fresno State closed out its weekend in Washington with two wins on Saturday at the Spokane Indoor Challenge.
The first of those wins was claimed in the morning by Zoe Yeast in the weight throw. While the senior's top two throws in the early rounds would have been enough to win, she went further in in Round 5. Yeast finished with a top mark of 18.30m/60-0.5.
The Bulldogs went 1-3-5 in the event with Emma Harper (17.06m/55-11.75) taking third and Tearra Haney placing fifth (16.52m/54-2.5).
A day after winning the 400 meters in the Spokane Sports Showcase, Ceonna Pipion did the same on Saturday. The senior finished in a time of 55.16.
After earning the top time in the 60-meter prelims at 8.70, Jewel Ash went lower in the finals. The senior clocked a time of 8.65 but placed third. Her time though ranks sixth-fastest in program history.
