FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team is back at home for more Mountain West play this week.

The Bulldogs host Air Force for their only regular-season series of 2025, beginning on Thursday at 6:05 p.m. PT. Game two of the series will be on Friday at 6:05 p.m. PT, and the series will conclude on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. PT.

Following the series, the Bulldogs will travel to Cal Poly on Tuesday, April 22, for the third and final matchup between the 'Dogs and the Mustangs at 5:05 p.m. PT.

THE WEEK OF THE MILK MAN

Following his 16-strikeout outing to open the Bulldogs' three-game series against San Diego State, Jack Anker has earned multiple national honors.

Anker was named Golden Spikes Player of the Week, as well as National College Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) Co-Pitcher of the Week.

In addition, he earned Perfect Game Pitcher of the Week and D1Baseball Performance of the Week.

Anker started in Friday's win over San Diego State and pitched a career-high 8.0 innings.

He struck out 16 batters, the second-most strikeouts by a single pitcher in a single game in 2025.

He did not allow a single run and only walked one batter.

In 8.0 innings, he threw only 102 pitches and allowed only 2 hits.

Anker leads the Mountain West in strikeouts with 68, 12 more than the second-ranked pitcher.

THE LAST TIME AGAINST THE FALCONS

The Bulldogs played in two series and two postseason games against Air Force, eight games total.

Fresno State won the first series at home, two games to one, but the 'Dogs were swept at The Academy.

The Bulldogs opened the MW Championship Tournament against Air Force immediately after the sweep and narrowly fell 2-3 on May 23 in San Diego.

Fresno State progressed through the double-elimination tournament and faced Air Force for a second time, eliminating the Falcons with a 10-3 victory.

The Bulldogs battled through four straight elimination games to win the Mountain West Championship and make their first regional appearance since 2019.

WILD, WILD HORSES

Fresno State had three games scheduled against the Cal Poly Mustangs in 2025, two at home and one on the road.

Both home games resulted in losses for the Bulldogs with final scores of 3-7 and 5-13.

Owen Faust leads the Bulldogs offensively against Cal Poly, going 5-for-8 total in games against the Mustangs this season.

Cam Schneider, Griffen Sotomayor and Sky Collins have all hit home runs against Cal Poly this season.
