Green light from the three

Fresno State hit a strong stride from beyond the arc at Moby Arena last Saturday. The 'Dogs shot a perfect 8-of-8 in the first half against the Rams with a complimentary 5-of-5 in the first period of play.

Four Bulldogs were successful from downtown - Avery Watkins, Emilia Long, Ava Marr and Danae Powell. Watkins led the field from three with a 100% shooting on 5-of-5. Long and Marr each tabbed two and Powell with a single three-pointer.

For the third time this season, Fresno State has made 6 or more 3PFG and is REC when doing so.

Avery Watkins marked a new career-high 25 points, 8-of-10 from the field at Colorado State. The forward matched it well with 5-of-5 shooting from the three-point arc. At Colorado State, Watkins posted 14 points in the first half and 11 in the second. Watkins' game against the Rams included eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Last season Watkins totaled 29 points, through 15 the junior has already surpassed 100 points on the season.
